Kaiwhakahononga Hapori (Community Connectors)

Across New Zealand, the Community Connection service takes an active approach to ensuring people needing help can access information, support and services across multiple government agencies and service providers.

Te Aitarakihi provides this service which is based onsite at 50 Bridge road, Smithfield, Timaru. Our Community Connector support the welfare needs of South Canterbury individuals and whānau to keep them safe, particularly while isolating at home / in the community from Covid. Community Connectors navigate and connect individuals and whānau to various services available during and in transition from self-isolation and following the impacts of the recent floods and Cyclone Gabrielle.
